Settling in...

As you can see by the fact that the cheese post has been up for the last 10 days, we have not done too much exploring over the last week. Ben continues to get more settled into his job and is taking on more of the responsibility for the tasks in his new position. He is learning a lot of new things is accordingly mentally exhausted by the weekend. Me, on the other hand...I have been spending my time doing some hiking with the Hong Kong Trampers, exploring the city, learning cantonese, and keeping the house ship-shape. The weekends have, thus, been more of a time to rest at home than to go out and explore the city. I am close to getting all of the documents that I need together to apply for registration as a PT here and then, if I am approved for registration, I can begin to look for work here. I did make contact with a local PT here who has graciosly spent some time telling me about how the profession works here and giving me some ideas of places that may be looking for an English speaking PT. She also invited me to come to a few seminars, so I may be getting to learn some new information and at least keep my brain thinking while I wait for the registration process.

Here are a few photos from my hike last weekend (which was a killer...8 hours and 1500 meters of elevation gain!). This hike was also on Lantau Island, which is the one we live on.

An EIGHT hour hike? Yikes! This hiking group youve found sounds amazing, and yet makes my legs hurt thinking about it! haha
